All nursing units use a planned, systematic and on-going monitoring and evaluation approach to assess the quality of nursing care.

• Computerized documentation: desktop and mobile wireless units
• Automated medication-dispensing systems for accurate delivery of medications
• Bar code scanning of medications before administration
• Coordination with Infection Control and Patient Safety to provide a safe patient environment
