Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

KCH has a 5-bed unit specializing in the care of the critically ill medical and surgical patients.

The age range of patients cared for on this unit is young adult to geriatric

Registered Nurses, and Licensed Practical Nurses provide care on this unit under the direction of the Registered Nurse.

Staffed with qualified personnel whose training and certifications include Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and Critical Care Nurse Certification.

Monitoring and interventions are provided for patients at risk of altered skin integrity, falls or pneumonia.
