Diagnostic Imaging
KCH Diagnostic Imaging center offers a full array of diagnostic services to meet the needs of our patients requiring diagnostic testing and our physicians contributing to their wellness.
Imaging modalities include General Radiography, Fluoroscopy, Ultrasound, Digital Mammography, 32 slice Computerized Axial Tomography (Cat Scan) with 3D Imaging, MRI, Stereotactic Breast Biopsy, Full Body Dexa Bone Densitometry, Portable Radiography, and Portable Fluoroscopy used in the Operating Room and Pain Management.
Over the past year, the Diagnostic Imaging center made some changes including a new Digital Mammography unit and suite, new Stereotactic Breast Biopsy Unit, and several cosmetic changes to give the department a more home-like atmosphere, adding to patient comfort..
Completion of the installation of our new MRI system that will include breast imaging and biopsies is targeted for early March.
Hours of operation are 6 a.m. - 11:30 p.m. Monday thru Friday. Weekend hours are 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. After hours is covered by Registered Radiologic Technologists on call along with Radiologist support through the departments teleradiography system that allows the reading of x-rays from outside the hospital.
The Imaging Department has a licensed Mammography, CT, Ultrasound, and Nuclear Medicine Program and practices according to the guidelines of the American College of Radiology and the Department of Health. All staff is licensed by the American College of Radiology and the American Society of Radiologic Technologists.
