The Pharmacy at Kane Community Hospital
The Pharmacy at Kane Community Hospital (KCH), an affiliate of Hamot Health Foundation, employs full time registered Pharmacist Elaine Yates Rph and full time certified Pharmacy Technician, Cheri Vaughn cPht.
The in house pharmacy operates from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. Patients' medication orders are reviewed by the pharmacist and medication is dispensed through state-of-the-art automated dispensing machines.
Hamot Medical Center pharmacists review patients' orders when the pharmacy is closed. This provides 24-hour pharmacist coverage for KCH patients.
The pharmacy department maintains the many required functions and records regarding drug regulation and medication integrity. The pharmacy department is continually assessing and reviewing safe administration of medications to our patients.

Kane Community Hospital's Pharmacist Elaine M. Yates, Rph is double-gloved and up to her elbows in protective gear while using the Isolator Barrier Hood to compound IV admixture products. The IsoTech MicroSphere Compounding Aseptic Isolator is designed to protect the operator and maintain ISO class 5 operating conditions. It is in full compliance with USP 797 regulations, OSHA and NIOSH guidelines.
