An early Christmas Gift for KCH Diagnostic Imaging with a little help from their Friends

Friends of KCH (Hospital auxiliary) continues to deliver for their hospital. Arriving early for the ultrasound suite was a new cart for Ultrasound patients and techs. Trying out the new cart is Ultrasound Tech Brittany McElhattan, RDMS. The cart rises and lowers for safe transfers and the appropriate height for testing. The head and feet can be raised or lowered for patient comfort. There is a hand rail to assist patients in positioning and stirrups to aid in internal ultrasound. This versatile cart cost over $7,000, one of many pieces of medical equipment Friends gifted to a variety of departments this year. The cart provides the best in patient safety, care and comfort, the primary goal of all the equipment and supplies purchased in 2009 by Friends.
