l-r Ron and Sue Zampogna, owners of Flickerwood Wine Cellars, Inc. (FWC), gift a directed donation of $300 to KCH Futures Fund's Tina Elder, to be used for free mammograms for women who are uninsured or underinsured for this critical screening.  Funds were a result of multiple events sponsored at FWC during October, National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, to raise funds and awareness in the fight against breast cancer.

The KCH free mammos program was initially created by community donations during KCH's Annual Ladies Night Out Event in September.   "This gift will help at least six women who would not otherwise be able to be screened.  Early detection is still the best protection.  We are most grateful for the gift," stated Elder, KCH Controller who manages the  KCH Futures Fund account and directs Ladies Night for Kane Community Hospital, an affiliate of UPMC Hamot.

If you would like to make an appointment or inquire about a free mammogram, contact KCH's Breast Imaging Center of Excellence at 837-4580.

The winners of the two raffles from KCH's National Breast Cancer Awareness Month activities were Chris Imgrogno, who won the whole house cleaning and Jeanette Woodruff, who won a pink ribbon blanket.
