KCH Wellness Screens Program - Five life-saving screens at reduced rates

The KCH Wellness Screens Program, now in its second year, offers five diagnostic imaging screens on a self-pay basis. All screens are non-invasive and painless.  For more information, costs of screens, or to make an appointment, please call KCH Diagnostic Imaging at 837-4580.

Each screen is offered one to four times a year:

Cardiac Scoring is offered in February during heart month.  This screen scores the build-up of calcium in plaque on the walls of the arteries of the heart.  This screen is used to check for heart disease at an early stage.

Lung CT Screening is offered in March and November. This screening uses 3D technology to get a clear picture and detect lung disease and cancer at an early, treatable stage.

Vascular Screening (three screens in one) is provided in January, April, August, December). These screens look for coronary artery disease, peripheral artery disease and abdominal aortic aneurysms, three of the most serious non-cardiac diseases that produce the potential for stroke, disability, and even death.

Bone Density is offered in May and September and screens for osteoporosis risk and to determine who might benefit from measures to improve bone health to prevent fractures.

Mammography Screens are offered in October during National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Screens require an appointment.  For an appointment call 837-4580.  The day of your screen, go to registration and pay by check or credit card.  After your screen, the results will be given or sent to you once read or scored.

This KCH Wellness Screens Program is offered by KCH's all-digital, Diagnostic Imaging Center.
