KCH Hosts Wellness Fair for Employees

KCH Human Resources held a Wellness Fair last week for all KCH employees covered under the UPMC Health Plan.  The Fair included screens and giveaways and the opportunity to complete a Health Risk Assessment online.

The assessment is geared to help employees make healthy choices and in so doing earn points to reduce their health insurance costs for 2012. The assessment was worth 100 points and provided opportunities for employees to earn an additional 200 points with healthy changes by November.

Several laptops were set up to allow employees to complete the assessment online at the Fair with assistance as needed.

All participants were entered into the first drawing of the year for an I-Pod.  The winner of the I-Pod was Sue McAlee from KCH Home Health Care.  A surprise give-away for those attending -- a $25 gas card -- went to Julie Laughner from KCH Diagnostic Imaging.

Those attending enjoyed healthy snacks and learned how to maximize their health and wellness.
