Hamot Medical Center is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.

Hamot is a training site for registered nurses from Edinboro University, Gannon University, Mercyhurst North East, Erie Business Center and Penn State Behrend. Licensed practical nurses from the Mercyhurst North East and Tristate Business Institute also use Hamot for clinical training experiences.
