Continuing Medical Education

Hamot Medical Center is accredited by the Pennsylvania Medical Society to sponsor continuing medical education for physicians. This accreditation is based on Hamot's documented compliance with the Essential Areas and Policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education and the Pennsylvania Medical Society.

The responsibility for ensuring compliance with the Pennsylvania Medical Society's accreditation requirements lies with Hamot's CME Subcommittee and the Department of Continuing Medical Education. Hamot received a six-year accreditation status from the Pennsylvania Medical Society in February 2007.
