An expression of gratitude/thanks

We are often asked, “How can we show support for the care we’ve been provided? What can we do to say thank you?”   KCH does not permit gratuities.  As professionals, we ask nothing more than the satisfaction of knowing that we have provided the best care possible.  We receive many thank you letters naming employees or doctors.  Each individual named is acknowledged within our health care system through the KCH Star Program. If you wish to honor someone beyond that, you may want to consider a donation through our Grateful Patient Program in honor of an individual or team who went “above and beyond” for you or your loved one.  Employees recognized by patients or their families in this way are notified, receive a star pin with heart in the center and are thanked through our Star Program as a recipient of your recognition.  A Grateful Patient brochure has been created to explain the details. If you would like to see a copy, ask a member of the nursing team to get one for you.  (The funds donated go to our KCH Futures Fund, our hospital foundation are used for patient care projects or facility renovations or upgrades. Our 2011 year-end fundraising campaign for the KCH Futures Fund was for the makeover of patient rooms -- to make them more comfortable, convenient and attractive for our patients and their families.  KCH is a 501(c)3 organization.  All contributions are tax deductible.
